Foundation Laid for SHSAOBA Dining & Kitchen Legacy Project

The Sacred Heart Seminary Akure Old Boys Association (SHSAOBA) has reached a historic milestone with the official foundation laying ceremony for its proposed Dining and Kitchen Legacy Project.

The ceremony, held at Sacred Heart Minor Seminary, Akure, marked the commencement of one of the Association's most ambitious and impactful legacy initiatives. Alumni, clergy, seminarians, benefactors, and friends of the Seminary gathered to witness the beginning of a project that reflects SHSAOBA's enduring commitment to the welfare and holistic formation of future priests.

The proposed Dining and Kitchen Complex is designed to provide a modern, spacious, and functional facility that will significantly improve the living and dining experience of seminarians while enhancing the Seminary's infrastructure for generations to come.

Speaking during the event, the leadership of SHSAOBA described the project as an investment in the future of the Church and a testament to the deep bond that alumni continue to share with their alma mater. Members were encouraged to remain committed to the fundraising campaign until the project is fully completed.

Construction has already commenced with foundation excavation and block moulding progressing steadily. The Association expressed appreciation to all donors, benefactors, and members whose generosity has made the commencement of the project possible.
